Kelly Jin is Chief Analytics Officer for the City of New York and Director of the Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics. She also serves as Co-Chair of the New York City Automated Decision Systems Task Force.
Chris Wiggins is an associate professor of applied mathematics at Columbia University and the Chief Data Scientist at The New York Times.
Anne is a lead data scientist at The New York Times, where she heads the Algorithmic Recommendations team. The Algo Recs team uses machine learning to personalize and recommend content across the NYTimes' website, apps, and email.
Professor Sara Seager is an astrophysicist and planetary scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She works on exoplanets, planets that orbit stars other than the sun.

PyData conferences bring together users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The PyData community gathers to discuss how best to apply Python tools, as well as tools using R and Julia, to meet evolving challenges in data management, processing, analytics, and visualization.
We aim to be an accessible, community-driven conference, with tutorials for novices, advanced topical workshops for practitioners, and opportunities for package developers and users to meet in person.
