Bo Zhang

Bo Zhang is a senior data scientist at IBM. Bo’s mission is to design and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms on big data, write codes to deploy these models to create real time actionable insights and present where and how these insights can help the business users to drive and grow businesses. Before coming to IBM, he worked for SAS and EMC. After finishing his BS and MS in mathematics, Bo discovered that his passion is to make sense of real-world data, which led him to spend 3.5 more years pursuing an MS and a PhD in statistics at North Carolina State University. His doctoral dissertation focused on dimension reduction and classification for high dimensional complex data. When he is not consumed by data, he likes to play soccer.
