My native background is related to computational natural sciences. I have spent quite a few years developing codes that haven been later on run on hundreds of CPUs. I have earned a PhD at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the field of computational/quantum chemistry. This period of my live was followed by a step that led to the point where I am right now. I have switched from academia to business, more precisely to IT. Currently I work for company that delivers IT solutions to industry. I am responsible for team of analysts. Among many other activities my team plays with industrial data. Recently we provide the solutions based on modern AI techniques where we apply various algorithms in Python and R. I also work for Polish Academy of Sciences where I try to apply similar AI-techniques but in a different context, namely innovative drug design.
