George Cushen

George Cushen is a Lead Data Scientist at Farfetch, the luxury fashion e-commerce platform. He leads research efforts to reimagine retail, constructing Farfetch Fashion Knowledge Graph and innovating deep learning techniques on emerging social fashion trends to enable the next generation of smart and personalised shopping experiences. He has authored popular open source data science software on GitHub and given 15+ talks, keynotes, and tutorials. George received his PhD in machine learning and computer vision at the University of Southampton, where he contributed to three high impact emerging AI applications: image search for e-commerce, 3D augmented reality fitting room, and non-invasive biometric person identification.
