I enjoy mathematics, economics, and programming and I get to do all three as a post-doctoral research fellow and research software engineer at the Oxford Mathematical Institute and Institute for New Economics Thinking.
My current research is focused on developing open-source, scalable, data-driven, and reproducible agent-based models (ABMs) of using Akka, Cassandra, Scala, and Spark. Methodologies for enhancing reproducibility of computational scientific research. My PhD research focused on computational economics, particularly projection methods for solving functional equations, and "Big Data" econometrics using Python, and R.
When not occupied with the above, my spare time is spent with my lovely wife and keeping up with my two very busy and super inquisitive children and one (equally inquisitive) dog.
