Friederike Schuur

Friederike is a research engineer at Fast Forward Labs (FFL), an applied machine intelligence and advising company. At FFL, we think about what applied machine learning in industry will look like in two years time. We dive into new machine learning capabilities, we build fully functioning prototypes to explore state-of-the-art technology, and we advise companies how to get ready for the future—we think about sci-fi and keep it real. Friederike earned a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London, UK and completed a postdoc on “gambling” (decisions under risk and uncertainty) at NYU. She worked at a couple startups on the East Coast before joining FFL. She recently bought a sewing machine to re-tailor boring startup t-shirts, her music choices are not suitable for civilized dinner parties.
