Nelson Correa is data scientist and machine learning consultant. He currently focuses on predictive modeling and natural language processing with Python and its data libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) and deep learning frameworks (TensorFLow and Keras). His past work includes positions at IBM Research, in natural language processing and machine translation, and at two software startups in New York developing e-learning systems and applications of speech recognition for language learning. Nelson received his masters and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and holds a masters degree in Mathematics from the same university. Nelson holds three U.S. patents and has several publications in computational linguistics, speech recognition in language instruction, and microelectronics.
