Dan is a data scientist at NextEra Energy, the world's largest utility company and leading generator of wind and solar energy. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Miami where his research focused on spatial models in mathematical ecology. During his postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) he discovered machine learning and fell in love with the field. Now he is the organizer of the Palm Beach Data Science Meetup group and a full-time data nerd that enjoys topics ranging from statistics to AGI and everything in between.
