Dat is a data scientist at Zopa, working on a diverse set of problems including credit risk, fraud, income verification and portfolio optimization. He particularly enjoys algorithmic development from scratch. Dat completed a BA at University of Cambridge and an MPhil at University of Oxford, where he was a Clarendon Scholar. His formal background is in economics and his Masters research focused on the application of topic modelling and supervised learning to predict economic downturns from policy texts.
