Katie is a scientific programmer in the Algorithms and Assemblies group at the Earlham institute,. working on complex genome assembly. She came to bioinformatics almost by accident, having a background in physics, maths and computer science, but very much enjoys the combination of engineering and computer science offered in her current role.
