Soledad Galli

Soledad Galli joined Zopa in 2016 as part of a talented team of data scientists. Before Zopa, she had a successful career in neuroscience working as a scientist at renowned institutions like University College London and the Max Planck Institute. Soledad is passionate about extracting meaningful information from data and transforming it into an interesting story. She has explained how some molecules in the brain help keep the neurons 'talking' among themselves. Now she is digging into how we can make better models to evaluate finance related risk, including default and fraud. She wants to know what makes a fraudster a fraudster, and how we can tell who is going to default and under what circumstances. The idea behind it is to protect our customers' interest by providing a transparent and pioneering financial service.
