Malcolm Sherrington has worked in software development since the mid-1980's both in the UK and mainland Europe. His work has embraced fields as diverse as aerospace, finance and medical research. A principle theme has been to achieve the highest performance possible through judicial combination of hardware and software and over the years has worked with a wide range of programming languages.
He is the founder of the London Julia Users Group and also is a co-organiser of the UK High Performance and of the Financial Engineers and Quants meetup groups. In addition to working in IT consulting, he has also taught engineering and computing at the University of Brighton and at Imperial College (RPMS).
