Katie Barr

I work on the technical team at The Test People, where we write bespoke testing solutions for clients' complex testing needs. I resisted all things coding related until I was forced to learn for a PhD in Quantum Information. Prior to that I'd used my time at uni to pursue my interests in Physics and Philosophy (BSc) and Logic and Theoretical Computer Science (MSc). I had the good fortune of using Python as a first language, and haven't looked back. Upon deciding to leave academia, moving into a coding job was a natural choice. I still work with my PhD supervisor in my spare time, because I love simulating physics. I am very new to PyData, but excited to be a part of it.
