Hector Andrade Loarca

Ph.D. student in Mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB) with Professor Gitta Kutyniok as advisor; major in Mathematics and Physics from National University of México (UNAM); ex Data Scientist of a mexican Open Governance Start Up (OPI Analytics); with experience in Data Mining, Machine Learning, Computational Harmonic Analysis and Computer Vision.

Currently developing Tomographic Reconstruction Methods with Deep Learning and Signal Processing techniques and very interested in technological applications of pure mathematics. My main two programming languages are python and julia, although I also have experience in C, C++, Fortran, R, Hadoop, Spark and lately Lisp.

I was introduced to Julia five years ago by Professor David Philip Sanders (Julia Base developer) and after both gave a course on Computational Statistical Physics using julia at the National University of México (UNAM) which convinced me to adopt julia as my main programming language. I am also the author of the library Shearlab.jl for high dimensional signal processing and LightFields.jl for 3D image reconstruction, the last has also some computer vision modules written in python.

Presentations
