Françoise is leading the data insights team at Shopify, an e-commerce SaaS company based in Canada.
Her focus is to help product teams make data-informed decisions. Her team also builds data assets surfaced to 400,000 merchants through a chatbot and the admin interface. They achieve this using fancy algorithms and good old common sense.
Before joining Shopify, she did a PhD in experimental physics and a post-doctoral fellowship in machine learning. Although she loves the switch to data science, she secretly misses shooting lasers on stuff.
