Claudia Millán

I have a degree in Biotechnology, and a Masters in Crystallography and Crystallization. Since 2012 I have been working on developing crystallographic phasing methods for macromolecules at the group of Isabel Usón, in the Molecular Biology Institute in Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC). There I contribute to the development of phasing tools like ARCIMBOLDO, BORGES, SHREDDER, ALIXE and others. I program in Python though I have notions of C and Perl, and I have good training in Bioinformatics from the work done for my biotech degree. I learnt the fundamentals of crystallography in my masters program, though this is a field in which puzzles appear everyday helping you to expand your knowledge. I am now focusing on improving my computing skills.
