Jordi Torrents is a Sociology PhD student at University of Barcelona. His research focuses on the structure and cooperation dynamics of collaborative communities, such as open source projects or scientific collaboration networks. His research draws on quantitative methodologies, mainly Social Network Analysis and Natural Language Processing. He has worked in several international research projects both as a research assistant and as external contractor. He is also part of the development team of NetworkX, a Python software package for the creation, manipulation, and study of the structure, dynamics, and functions of complex networks.
