Stephen Elston

Stephen Elston is a Principle Consultant and founder of Quantia Analytics, LLC. He is a big data geek, data scientist, instructor, and O’Reilly author. Steve teaches data science courses for the University of Washington, the Harvard Extension and edX. He is a frequent conference speaker, including Strata, PyData and UseR!. Steve has over two decades of experience in predictive analytics and machine learning using many platforms, including Python, R, and S/SPLUS. He creates solutions in multiple areas including capital markets, fraud detection, image analysis, mobile analytics, real-time analytics streaming analytics and forecasting. Steve holds MS and PhD degrees in Geophysics from Princeton University.
