Dr. Rutu Mulkar-Mehta is the founder of a Seattle startup called Ticary Solutions, for custom solutions in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. She is a specialist in Information Extraction, Topic Modeling, Recommender Systems, Word Semantics, and cutting edge research in the NLP space. She is a faculty member at Northeastern University teaching Data Science courses to CS graduate students. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in Computer Science, with a specialization in NLP and Postdoc from University of California, San Diego in Biomedical Informatics.
