Stephen Hoover

Stephen Hoover is a data scientist at Civis Analytics in Chicago, where he spends his time figuring out ways to solve machine learning problems, writing software tools for data analysis, and doing lots of plumbing. He is an escapee from physics academia, and originally learned Python to get out of writing an analysis pipeline for cosmological data in IDL. His favorite way to contribute to open source software is while being sat upon by a cat.
