Kyle Foreman

Kyle Foreman heads up the Scientific Computing team at the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. IHME has put together one of the world's largest repositories of open global health data and combines it with cutting edge statistical and epidemiological techniques to produce studies such as the Global Burden of Disease, which has been cited thousands of times and is used to shape funding and policy decisions in countries and for organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Kyle studied psychology and neuroscience as a Harvard undergrad, got his MPH from the University of Washington while a Post Bachelor Fellow at IHME, and then went to Imperial College London for a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He spent some time working at health startups in San Francisco before returning to Seattle to pursue his passion for combining global health with data science.
