Lauren Oldja is a Senior Data Scientist at SparkBeyond and an experienced manager of multi-stakeholder, multi-country technical projects. She is an active organizer in the NYC tech community, including serving as Executive Chair for PyData NYC 2018 and 2019, and is a lead organizer for the NYC Python meetup. Prior to working in data science, she was a technical advisor on the Guinea Worm Eradication effort in South Sudan and managed a UN-funded tuberculosis screening program in South Africa. Lauren is a graduate of the Metis Data Science bootcamp, holds a master's degree from Johns Hopkins, and completed her bachelor's degree at MIT.
