Kamal Abdelrahman is a senior at the City University of New York - Brooklyn College majoring in psychology with a focus in data science. Prior to transitioning to the world of analytics, Kamal was the head youth muralist at the Groundswell Community Mural Project. He has helped design murals across New York City regarding various social issues such as mental health, immigration, and criminal justice. Kamal has previously worked in city government, with the Department of Corrections and then the New York City Mayor's Office - Center of Innovation Through Data Intelligence. He most recent;y transitioned into the tech and marketing field working the consumer intelligence startup Suzy. Kamal's main interests include drawing on the combination of analytics, art, and storytelling to help paint a picture of the ways data can help improve quality of life.
