After finishing my PhD in Physics at the University Complutense of Madrid in 1994, wtih a Thesis about propagation and scattering of Biot’s waves I get a postdoc. position at the Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, In 1998 I get a tenure track position at the Insituto de Acústica of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid. Since then, my work has been focused on i) ultrasonic techniques for materials characterization and ii) ultrasonic sensing techniques including sensors technology and signal proccessing . At present, I am a researcher at the Sensors and Ultrasonic Technologies Department of the Physics and Information Technologies Insitute at CSIC in Madrid and Chief of the Senosrs and Ultrasonic Systems Department. I am currently using Python to solve high dimension and constrained inverse problems in materials characterization, to optimize sensors design and to process large data sets. You can find out more on my research group web page or twitter: www.us-biomat.org, @usbiomat
