Katie is a software developer at The Genome Analysis Centre in Norwich, where she has been thrown into the deep end of genomics, working on one of the most difficult organisms to work with: wheat. Prior to this, Katie has worked as a developer at a testing consultancy, where she learned that having a PhD in computational physics did not mean she could code. I am thrilled to be back in scientific computing, and enjoying learning biology on the job.
