Maria has graduated from the Dept. of Mathematics and Mechanics of Saint Petersburg State University in 2007. She has worked at JetBrains for the last 13 years in various roles and presented at a number of software development conferences, e.g. JavaZone, Devoxx, AnacondaCON, etc. A few years ago she re-discovered her passion for math, data science, machine learning, and deep learning. Being a self-educated machine learner, she understands the challenges faced by newcomers to the field and wants to share her knowledge to help others overcome them. She also blogs, and runs PyData Montreal.
