Bhargav is a graduate student at the University of Chicago, finishing an MA in Computational Social Science. He enjoys contributing to the open source python community in any way he can, and is a regular speaker at PyCons and PyDatas. He has written a book on text analysis in Python titled "Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics", and is a regular contributor to python NLP and ML packages such as Gensim, spaCy, and pymc3. Previously a research engineer at INRIA Lille, France, he worked on Ensemble Learning techniques and authored the python package Pycobra. When not coding or working, he likes to boulder, drink beer, and travel the world.
