Dr. Brandeis Marshall (she/her)

Dr. Brandeis Marshall is CEO of DataedX, an executive training firm. She helps the everyday professional advance their data equity skills capabilities. Originally trained as a computer scientist, her work sits at the intersection of data equity, data engineering, and culturally responsive pedagogy. A thought leader in broadening participation in data science, Dr. Marshall often discusses the racial, gender, socioeconomic, and socio-technical impact of data in technology for organizations like theACLU, Harvard, Visa, Stanford, and Truist. She has appeared in Medium, OneZero, The MoguldomNation, and on CNN. Dr. Marshall holds aPh.D. and Master ofScience in ComputerScience from RensselaerPolytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science inComputer Science from the University ofRochester. Her first book, expected release in mid-2022, investigates the interlocking computational and civic impact of data, algorithms and society.
