Description

Large datasets are increasingly common in science; therefore, tools are needed to enable scientists to effectively work with data. Gin is a modern research data management service based on git and compatible with the datalad data management system. It supports a distributed workflow inspired by typical git workflows.

In this talk, we will show you how to run a separate Gin instance at your home institution. The deployment is based on docker and largely automated using Ansible. We will show you where and how to customize your Gin instance to suite your needs.
