Dr. Jennifer Stark is a Research Scientist in the Computational Journalism Lab at the University of Maryland, where she uses Python, machine learning, web scraping, and statistics to investigate algorithmic accountability and transparency, human-computer interaction as it pertains to trust in information, and news automation. Jennifer has a Ph.D in Neuroscience from The University of Manchester, UK, and an MPS in Information Visualization from the Maryland Institute and College of Art, Baltimore, MD.
