I am currently an assistant professor of Neuroscience at the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, in Rochester, Michigan. I obtained my MD and was a neurology resident in my home country of Colombia, until 2004 when I attended the University of Michigan for graduate studies in neuroscience and postdoc. I use Python and R both for my research and academic activities. The former focus on understanding diseases like epilepsy and cardiac arrhythmias by using computer models and statistical analysis of patient databases.
