Kashif Rasul

Kashif has a PhD. in Mathematics from the Freie Universität Berlin and has been a founder of a number of startups in the area of geospatial data storage and analysis. He is passionate about high performance computing and has presented at NVIDIA's GTC in 2009 and at StrangeLoop in 2012, and is also contributing to a number of data science and databases Open Source projects. Prior to finishing his PhD. he worked at the Max Planck Institute in Golm, Germany and at Visage Imaging in Berlin as a software developer. He currently has a position in the Databases group at Freie Universität Berlin as well as working as a Data Scientist in the Article Sales Forecasting group of Zalando here in Berlin.
