Kay Hoogland

Kay Hoogland is a master student in Data Science & Entrepreneurship at JADS in 's-Hertogenbosch currently finishing his master thesis at Greenhouse Group in Eindhoven.

After completing his first year of the Bachelor in Industrial Engineering, he got in the brand new Big Data honors program at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The following two years he did extracurricular research in data science. Having experienced the limits of drag-and-drop tools such as RapidMiner during his first year, he decided to master Python, which he fell in love with ever since. After his bachelor, studying Data Science & Entrepreneurship was a logical choice for him to continue the combination of data science and business in his master.

Kay likes to manage projects and identify business opportunities using data. Explaining hard things in a clear way using simple examples is a goal he always tries to achieve. Other people describe him as analytical, systematic and goal-oriented. In his free time, Kay reads blogs, lifts weights and plays golf.
