Luke Starnes

Luke is a senior engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) and serves as the Chief Engineer of the Electronic Systems Integration Division. Data is a big part of what they do. The team regularly processes terabytes of flight test data to evaluate the performance of their embedded avionics software. The employed data analysis process has been migrated to a Python-based tool chain. It heavily relies on pandas for data processing and a mix of Matplotlib and Bokeh for visualization. While their data exploration and analysis needs are atypical, they strive to leverage tools and best practices employed by the community.
