Gino Bustelo

Gino works at IBM Emerging Technologies. Over the past several years, Gino has worked on many of the Big Data platforms, building tools to make them easier to use and more accessible to a broader set of users. Most recently, he's been an active contributor to the Jupyter ecosystem. He leads the declarativewidgets project which aims at making it easier to build rich interactive applications using Notebooks, and Apache Toree, a Jupyter kernel built to access Spark using Scala, Python, R, or SQL. He enjoys learning all sorts of new technologies and building things that turn complex things into simple things. At home he is a tinkerer... getting into FPV racing quads and building Legos with the family.
