Brian has worked as a data scientist at Dato for two years, although he is also a machine learning engineer, statistician, and hockey player, depending on who's asking. Brian holds a PhD in statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, where he researched clustering and topological data analysis with applications in genetics and neuroscience. He is the proud creator and very occasional maintainer of the DeBaCl Python package for DEnsity-BAsed CLustering.
