About PyData<\/h3><\/div>\n <\/div>[vc_column_text css_animation=”none” el_class=”font-family-alt”]PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R.<\/p>\n

We aim to be an accessible, community-driven conference, with novice to advanced level presentations. PyData tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features along with cutting-edge use cases.<\/p>\n

NumFOCUS<\/h3>\n

The mission of NumFOCUS is to promote sustainable high-level programming languages, open code development, and reproducible scientific research. We accomplish this mission through our educational programs and events as well as through fiscal sponsorship of open source scientific computing projects. We aim to increase collaboration and communication within the data science and scientific computing community.<\/p>\n

NumFOCUS is a 501(c)3 public charity in the United States.<\/p>\n

He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida where he also automated image processing for the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group. He has spent the last 5 years teaching and mentoring students in A.I. and has over 20 years of enterprise software development experience. He was the Sr. Director of Product Management at Cisco Systems and also held executive positions at VMware and start-ups in the bay area. She worked for 5 years in the construction industry and earned an M.S. in the Environment Management and Environmental Engineering. As a former firefighter\/paramedic helping others in their times of need has been a lifelong mission. Currently, his primary focus is bridging the gap between the science of training and mindfulness.
