Paul has been working as an infectious disease data scientist for over a decade, using computational techniques to extract, clean and analyse data for insights into epidemiology and vulnerability to disease. Currently working at Imperial College as the informatic pointman for a large infectious disease project, before that he worked for the Health Protection Agency (UK) in influenza bioinformatics and other academic & industrial roles in the UK, Australia and South Africa. He has used Python since 2000 and is the author of many obscure packages and webtools.
