Nitin Madnani

Nitin Madnani is a Research Scientist with the NLP & Speech group at the Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 from University of Maryland, College Park where he worked on a number of NLP topics but focused on improving machine translation systems. At ETS, he has worked on several projects including mining Wikipedia revision history to correct grammatical errors, automatically detecting organizational elements in argumentative discourse, and building next-generation automated essay scoring systems. He mostly likes to spend his time being the resident Python and information visualization geek. More details about his work can be found at http://www.desilinguist.org .
